For each model, the client will receive the following:
> 1 primary .png render of the character and 2-3 secondary renders from alternate angles
> 1 360° turntable animation .avi video
> The .blend source file of the actual 3D model
> If you would also like an .obj file tell me so I can bake the materials so they are compatible
Payment will be divided half upfront and half upon delivery of the final model. Usually I will share the final renders and wait for the second half of payment before releasing the model file. Payment is accepted only through PayPal.
Payments listed on my website/price sheets are base prices. It may be raised based on the complexity of the character. This includes but is not limited to extra limbs, excessive floofinees, complex patterns, clothing, props, and backgrounds.
> Sculpts are high-poly, meaning they are defined by hundreds of thousands to millions of polygons. This means they are computationally heavy and cannot be posed or animated easily, or used as an avatar in VRC, for example.
> Models are low-poly, making them suitable for posing, animation, and use in VR and games. All my models start with a sculpt, and all the small details provided by the high-poly sculpt gets baked and preserved into the texture of the low-poly model.
> Basically, sculpts are like static statues while models have the capabilities to move.
3D avatars for Vtubing or VRChat/Neo’s etc.?
I can bring you up to a well-performing, low-poly model rigged for Unity, and potentially some viseme work, but any work after as of now should be done by a porter specializing in those programs. I am still learning the importing process for all of these programs, and do not currently offer these services.
3D printing?
Sculpts made for 3D printing have additional requirements to be successful, ask me about feasibility during our initial meeting.
Animations, cool poses and renders?
Absolutely go for it! Their rigs will make posing a breeze!
> Models will almost always have full albedo (base color) and normal 4k textures. UVs are guaranteed to be in big islands and at least somewhat readable in 2D painting software like photoshop.
> Sculpts may be partly or completely vertex painted, which may be difficult to export the colors to other 3D environments. This can be baked into regular textures upon request, but UVs will not be pretty due to its high poly nature. Sculpts will never be rigged.
> Rigging for models is done using Blender Rigify. Rigging includes both IK and FK capabilities for limbs, prebuild controllers, and squash and stretch support, Alternatively, rigging for VRChat is also offered separately.
> Facial rigging in the base price is only rigging just the jaw, eyes, and eyelids. More robust facial rigs can also be pursued with an extra fee.
